The three Horizon 2020 projects ECOTIP, CHARTER and FACE-IT, together with the EU Polar Cluster, warmly invite you to attend a joint event in Brussels during the afternoon of Wednesday March 15th, 2023.
This will also be a hybrid event if you are unable to join in person.
What is this event about and why are we holding it?
The event will bring together the above-mentioned projects to discuss the latest understanding about changing Arctic biodiversity and its societal implications. During the event, we will:
- Learn about “Life on land, in the ocean and in the fjords” through key insights and research findings from the ECOTIP, CHARTER and FACE-IT projects;
- Listen to an expert panel of Arctic and EU policymakers on the policy implications of such research findings for the EU, including with regards to the EU Arctic policy, the Mission to Restore our Oceans and Waters, and other relevant initiatives;
- Be the first to explore three photographic/multimedia exhibits from the projects, which will be launched at this event. The launch will include mingling, drinks and canapés.
Through this event, we intend to highlight existing gaps and opportunities in current Arctic policy and allow policymakers to provide feedback regarding the need for future research and outreach efforts.
Who is it for?
The event is primarily targeted at EU Arctic policymakers in the European Commission and its various departments and agencies, European members of parliament, and the Arctic research community.
When is it being held?
Wednesday March 15th 2023, from 2pm onwards.
Where is it being held?
In Brussels, Belgium, with the venue to be confirmed. Hybrid attendance will also be possible.
